Rampal upazila of Bagerhat district is a traditional upazila with immense potential. This upazila consists of 10 unions. Innumerable rivers and canals including Ghashiakhali river flow through the heart of this upazila, a wonderful green land of natural beauty. The Khulna-Mongla Bagerhat-Mongla highway passes through the heart of the upazila. As a result of the able leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the belief of building the golden Bengal of the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the work of Rampal Thermal Power Station, Khanjahan Ali Airport has become visible in this upazila. Under the able leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, the dredging of the Ghashiakhali River has turned into a vibrant, fresh and vibrant Ghashiakhali Channel. Hundreds of cargo / ships pass through the channel every day. Under the leadership of Hon'ble Member of Parliament Mr. Habibun Nahar of Bagerhat-3 constituency (Rampal-Mongla) the development of this upazila has accelerated in a competitive manner with the mainstream of development. In the first phase, materials have been distributed to make Rampal Upazila beggar-free as per the directions of Hon'ble Divisional Commissioner Sir to convey the benefits of development to all and build a society free from discrimination. At present the work of the second phase is in progress.

 

Initiatives have been taken to build an eco park in the union as a means of entertainment for beauty-thirsty people. Moreover, construction of a mini Sundarbans in the shape of Sundarbans is underway in Mallikerber Union adjacent to Ghashiakhali Channel.

 

Monitoring system including monthly meetings with head teachers has been strengthened to implement quality education. Debating club, cultural club, english language club, science club have been formed to increase co-curricular activities.

 

The monitoring system has been strengthened to control overall law and order, eve-teasing, drugs, child marriage and law and order is kept under control on the basis of response as soon as complaints are received.

Youths are being trained under the supervision of Assistant Programmers to make them earning through outsourcing.

In order to build the Upazila Parishad as a model Upazila, infrastructural development and visual work is being undertaken in coordination and guidance with the Honorable Chairman of the Upazila Parishad, Mr. Sheikh Moazzem Hossain.
